REFRESH partners Gjenkraft and CIRCE participated in the European Wind Blade Recycling Summit in Copenhagen on 12-13 June.

The event brought together leading players in the industry to discuss the sustainable management of decommissioned wind turbine blades. Speakers provided updates on the EU policies and regulations affecting the industry as well as strategies to ensure a sustainable and profitable future.

Gjenkraft was one of the event’s sponsors and presented its activities in recycling wind turbine blades and developing new products using the recycled materials.

CIRCE’s Alejandro Fresneda gave a presentation about microwave-assisted technologies for wind blade valorisation and the results achieved to date.
