REFRESH is joining related European projects at the workshop The Future of Advanced Polymers and Composites: Strategies for Improved Sustainability. 

The event will take place on 24th September at the Santa Elisabetta Centre at the University of Parma Campus in Italy. Participants can also join the workshop online.

This meeting is being organised by RINA to promote the connection between European projects working on materials sustainability, the circular economy and composite materials.

REFRESH will be represented by Andrea Tinti from CETMA, who will introduce the REFRESH concept for wind turbine blade recycling and present the eco-design strategy developed by CETMA during the first phase of the project. CETMA has been formulating circular eco-design guidelines for the manufacturing of new products based on secondary raw materials resulting from the REFRESH recycling processes. The focus is on three main areas: concept design, design for recycling, and design for disassembly.

The workshop will also feature the projects Tool4Life, ZeroWasteLIFE, LIFE CFCycle, LIFE CIRCE, DECOAT, CISUFLO, POLYNSPIRE, FURHY, PLOOTO, TARPAULIFE, RARE2, and ECOFACT.
