From End-of-Life Blades to Circular Products

REFRESH’s second workshop aims to present the latest progress of the project in advancing circular solutions for the recycling and re-manufacturing of wind turbine blades.

Building on the outcomes of the first workshop held on 17th November 2025, this event will shift the focus from recycling technologies to the downstream stages of the value chain, including eco-design strategies, prototype development, traceability systems, sustainability performance, and market uptake of recycled materials.

We will showcase how REFRESH is progressing towards a fully integrated, circular and scalable system.

Project partners will:

• Provide updates on the scale-up of recycling technologies;
• Present newly developed prototypes and eco-design approaches;
• Introduce the digital traceability platform and sustainability assessment results;
• Discuss opportunities for building new markets and applications for secondary raw materials.

Agenda

The workshop is in two parts. The first part will consist of a showcase of the partners involved in the project, presenting key advancements and results achieved so far.

The second part will be more interactive, offering space for connected stakeholders to ask questions and actively engage in a joint brainstorming session on challenges, opportunities and pathways for scaling up circular solutions and strengthening market uptake.
